About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Respond to, process and follow up on customer orders by phone or email, including quotes, orders, quantity adjustments, return requests, shipping or pricing issues, and technical problems.
- Process weekly backorder reports: review them, fulfill/ship items and send information to the customer.
- Understand customer needs and communicate them to other departments.
- Maintain a working knowledge of products and their functions for customers.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Sandvik’s core values and applicable policies and procedures.
- Prepare shipment/transportation of equipment and materials.
- Receive goods and provide logistics support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work in French and English (mandatory).
- Previous customer service and sales experience is an asset.
- Industry experience is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of sales processes, tools and techniques for products and services.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Salesforce, etc.).
- Familiarity with parts manuals and how they operate.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-changing environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours.
