About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and maintain the platform with reusable templates, components, and patterns.
Work closely with data, AI and analytical engineers as well as champions to improve productivity through platform tooling and self-service capabilities.
Contribute to platform architecture, golden paths, documentation, standards, and best practices.
Manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code.
Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment for data and ML workflows.
Embed security, compliance, and data governance into the platform with least-privileged principles.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, reliability, and observability.
Set architectural guardrails, optimize workloads, and provide spend transparency.
Enable capabilities for data quality, findability, discoverability, and lateness.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience – 2 positions.
6-10 years of experience - 1 position.
3+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering roles.
Proven experience with Azure and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
Proven experience with Infrastructure-As-Code, preferably Bicep.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure deployment.
Proven expertise with Lakehouse service providers, obligatory Databricks.
Preferably a solid understanding of MLOps.
Strong software engineering skills in Python, SQL, C# or similar languages.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to work in cross-functional and global engineering environments.
Ownership mindset with focus on reliability and quality.
Adaptability and willingness to learn modern integration technologies.
