About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and update technical training materials (presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, job aids)
  • Ensure training content aligns with product updates, safety standards, and service requirements
  • Standardize training resources across product lines (loaders, haul trucks, drills, surface drills, rotary drills)
  • Assist the Technical Training Specialist with planning and delivering in-class, virtual, and hands-on training
  • Set up classrooms, equipment, and training aids for sessions
  • Provide technical demonstrations and act as a resource for learners
  • Collect, analyze, and report trainee feedback to improve course content and delivery
  • Provide follow-up support to trainees to reinforce learning
  • Maintain training records in coordination with the L&C Administrator
  • Act as a technical support contact for new hires during their onboarding period
  • Provide coaching and guidance on key equipment and processes
  • Work with managers and technical teams to identify key training priorities annually
  • Monitor emerging product lines, service issues, and technology changes that require training updates
  • Recommend adjustments to training plans to address skills gaps
  • Stay current with product developments and industry best practices
  • Propose and support new methods of training delivery (simulators, blended learning, microlearning)
  • Contribute to projects that improve training efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A 2-year Technical Degree/Diploma in a mechanical discipline (ex: HD Equipment, Electrician)
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience
  • Training in key aspects of technical and operator trades
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal skills including detailed site visit reports
  • Bilingual in both French and English is considered an asset
  • Ability to train and transfer knowledge to others
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and driven to achieve customer satisfaction, goals, and targets
  • Strong investigation and diagnostic skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of customer’s industry
  • Superior customer relations and active listening skills
  • Ability to travel is essential
  • Positive attitude
