About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and audit payroll calculations to ensure accuracy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Enter and update payroll data in the payroll system accurately and timely
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payroll transactions
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates Degree or equivalent in applicable payroll processing experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role for a multi-state organization
- Proficient in end-to-end payroll processing including pre-commit audits and validations
- Basic understanding of local, state and federal tax regulations
- Proficiency in payroll software required
- Experience in the Dayforce (previously Ceridian) payroll system strongly preferred
- Proficiency in the use of the MS Office Suite, with strong proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience using Copilot or comparable Large-Language-Model AI is preferred
