About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and audit payroll calculations to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Enter and update payroll data in the payroll system accurately and timely
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payroll transactions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates Degree or equivalent in applicable payroll processing experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role for a multi-state organization
  • Proficient in end-to-end payroll processing including pre-commit audits and validations
  • Basic understanding of local, state and federal tax regulations
  • Proficiency in payroll software required
  • Experience in the Dayforce (previously Ceridian) payroll system strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of the MS Office Suite, with strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience using Copilot or comparable Large-Language-Model AI is preferred
