About the role
- The Financial Planning Analyst will play a critical role in delivering financial insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- This role will develop financial models, perform in-depth financial analysis, prepare variance reporting, and support forecasting and budgeting processes.
- As part of the Corporate Finance team, the FP&A Analyst will collaborate closely with business leaders to guide financial planning, evaluate scenarios, and enhance financial decision-making within a large financial services organization.
Requirements
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop management reports highlighting financial performance against key metrics.
- Analyze trends and variances in financial and operational results, providing actionable insights.
- Reconcile financial accounts and ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Develop and maintain complex financial forecasting and budgeting models.
- Monitor actual performance versus budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Support annual budgeting cycles and ongoing forecast updates.
- Partner with senior leaders to understand business needs and provide financial insights.
- Provide ongoing financial consulting, including ad hoc modeling, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to support enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Conduct scenario and “what-if” analyses to evaluate the financial impact of strategic decisions.
- Perform ROI and investment analysis to support key initiatives and long-term planning.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting, and forecasting.
- Implement best practices to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Leverage financial systems, analytics, and visualization tools to enhance insights and reporting.
