About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support our accounting team with the operational day-to-day tasks of financial accounting
- Independent handling of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
- Coding, recording and posting of ongoing business transactions
- Verification, coding and posting of incoming invoices as well as preparation of outgoing invoices
- Support in processing and monitoring payment transactions
- Maintenance and reconciliation of accounts and resolution of outstanding items
- Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Preparation of reports and support with reporting and internal analyses
- Performing general administrative tasks in the finance area, including document management and master data maintenance
- Contributing to the optimization and digitalization of accounting processes
- Accounting for international group companies
- Active work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and support in the further development and maintenance of the system
- Assistance with controlling (management accounting) tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) or a comparable commercial/administrative qualification with a focus on financial accounting
- Initial professional experience of approximately 1 to 2 years in financial accounting or in a tax consultancy
- Knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ideally, initial experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable accounting software
- Excellent German skills and very good English skills, both written and spoken
- Structured, meticulous and independent way of working
