About the role
- Install and maintain physical and virtual Windows servers
- Install and maintain VMware infrastructure
- Monitor Windows and VMware servers for resource, system, and hardware problems
- Work independently with minimal guidance on complex issues and projects
- Provide Windows server support to internal application owners
- Work on a team to see projects to completion
- Participate in a rotating on-call 24/7 schedule to support critical systems
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of system engineering experience
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communications skills
- Experience in mentoring junior team members
- Able to independently write and maintain code to automate processes
