About the role

  • Responsible for the full financial accounting of a branch office — from accounts payable and accounts receivable to the general ledger and travel expense accounting.
  • Ensure smooth payment processing and accurate bank postings.
  • Actively participate in and perform monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and ensure account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and support tax‑related filings, particularly VAT returns.
  • Contribute to exciting projects aimed at digitizing and optimizing accounting processes.

Requirements

  • Practical experience: You have relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally with exposure to monthly or annual financial statements.
  • HGB knowledge: Your understanding of accounting under the German Commercial Code (HGB) is up to date and reliable.
  • Language skills: A very good command of German (at least C1 level) is essential for internal and external communication.
  • Digital affinity: You are proficient in MS Office and experienced with common accounting software.
  • Navision a plus: Experience with Microsoft Navision is advantageous but not mandatory — willingness to learn is what counts.
  • Personal qualities: You are a team-oriented, communicative person who works independently, carefully, and in a structured manner.
