About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the three-year vision for device installation and provisioning across products, device types, and geographies
Own install correctness by setting targets, instrumenting the funnel, and improving results quarter over quarter
Own the guided install and verification flow in the Samsara Fleet app
Build intelligence to verify camera aim, wiring, and signal quality during installation
Give operations leaders a live view of fleet readiness, installation, verification, and data production
Ride along on installs and run sessions in customer yards
Turn customer observations into roadmap decisions affecting hardware, firmware, and software
Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of product management experience shipping products used by external customers
Record of owning a business or product metric and changing its trajectory
Experience building something from zero to one
Technical depth sufficient for engineers to treat you as a peer
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, prior engineering experience, or demonstrated fluency in system architecture trade-offs
Ability to set multi-year direction and review detailed screen flows
Executive-level communication and presence
Based in a North American time zone
Strong candidates in Europe will be considered
Experience with mobile products for hands-on workers, primary customer research, software/hardware products, funnel instrumentation, and experimentation are advantageous
