About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities in our social work-based Behavior Program!
- Join Sample Supports as a PRN clinician in our Behavior Services Team.
- Counsel, assess, and provide consultation services to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Use integrated evidence-based practices under supervision of licensed team.
- Options for flexible schedules, private and furnished offices for site-based sessions, and virtual caseloads.
- Participate in intensive, paid training in various relevant areas such as Trauma-Informed Care and Positive Behavior Development.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field is required (Human Services or equivalent)
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to transport individuals in services in your vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older to provide transportation
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including:
- Physically intervening with at-risk adults using NVCI-approved techniques
- Working with unpredictable and aggressive individuals, possibly alone in the community or their homes
- Maintaining calm and professional intervention during escalated/crisis moments
- Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development provided to ensure confidence and comfort in implementing support plans
- Criminal background check required due to the nature of the work with at-risk adults
