Medical Billing and Coding

• Review all medical record information to extract data and apply appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes for billing
• Accurately code conditions and procedures as documented in the Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting
• Act as a coding resource for team members and medical staff
• Assign codes utilizing an electronic encoder application according to practice policy and regulatory guidelines
• Perform coding audits and provide rebuttal letters if needed
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity & Compliance on audits and coding questions
• Maintain confidentiality of the medical record and reports
