About the role

  • Preparation and contribution to the creation of risk assessments and their documentation, derivation of protective measures and safety functions
  • Maintenance of assessments in Safexpert
  • Initiation of safety test checklists and follow-up, preparation of the CE Declaration of Conformity
  • Design work on required assemblies based on existing variants or as new developments
  • Creation/maintenance of master data records, bills of materials, and drawings/layouts
  • Support for assembly, commissioning and acceptance testing as well as handling customer complaints, if necessary on the customer's site
  • Commissioning the preparation of the required documents for customer documentation (spare parts catalog, operating manual, safety analysis)
  • Internal and external coordination with specialist departments and suppliers regarding the solutions to be used

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in order-based design within a machine or special machine manufacturing company
  • Good CAD skills in CATIA V5 (or a comparable program)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and SAP (PP/MM modules)
  • Good knowledge of standards and relevant EU directives, CE Declaration of Conformity
  • Good command of English
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Careful, structured, proactive and team-oriented working style, with a high level of commitment and flexibility
