About the role

  • Planning and design of complex plants, retrofits and modernizations in our electric steelworks, including project management
  • Ensuring the maintenance and further development of our mechanical plant technology and equipment
  • Participation in troubleshooting/analysis and optimization of our processes
  • Lead by example in occupational safety, actively promoting and enforcing safe practices
  • Work in the PTG teams for environmental and energy management, conduct and support audits, and optimize energy consumption
  • Serve as the designated plant-responsible person in accordance with the AwSV regulation
  • Participation in on-call duty

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's degree, in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance with strong knowledge of fluid power systems (hydraulics/pneumatics)
  • Good knowledge of technical regulations and project planning methods
  • Very good German and good English, both written and spoken
  • Reliable, committed individual with a high degree of responsibility and strong organizational skills
  • Fit for work in a steelworks environment and for work at heights (required)
