About the role
- Planning and design of complex plants, retrofits and modernizations in our electric steelworks, including project management
- Ensuring the maintenance and further development of our mechanical plant technology and equipment
- Participation in troubleshooting/analysis and optimization of our processes
- Lead by example in occupational safety, actively promoting and enforcing safe practices
- Work in the PTG teams for environmental and energy management, conduct and support audits, and optimize energy consumption
- Serve as the designated plant-responsible person in accordance with the AwSV regulation
- Participation in on-call duty
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's degree, in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance with strong knowledge of fluid power systems (hydraulics/pneumatics)
- Good knowledge of technical regulations and project planning methods
- Very good German and good English, both written and spoken
- Reliable, committed individual with a high degree of responsibility and strong organizational skills
- Fit for work in a steelworks environment and for work at heights (required)
