About the role
- Lead the 'Economic Support for Metallurgy' team within Controlling and take responsibility for the financial representation of the transformation process toward low‑CO2 steel production.
- Responsible for preparing profitability calculations and assessments of operational change processes, and for conducting technical‑economic simulations and evaluations.
- Ensure diligent preparation of regular reporting to steer the supported business area and contribute to special projects and analyses with cross‑functional or business‑wide relevance.
- Responsible for analyzing volume and value flows from an opportunities perspective and for preparing process and variance analyses.
- Coordinate planning processes and their mapping in SAP, ensure period‑end closings and develop recommendations for management.
- Further develop controlling instruments, the systems in use and applied methods, and establish a communication interface with the company's operational areas.
- Provide goal‑oriented leadership and motivation for employees in the reporting area and ensure needs‑based support and development.
Requirements
- Completed diploma or master’s degree in industrial engineering or economics with a focus on cost accounting and controlling, or equivalent.
- Several years of professional and managerial experience in a comparable industry and a strong technical understanding of production processes.
- Good knowledge of process and procedure analysis and optimization, and experience or interest in digitizing administrative processes and workflows.
- Ideally, confident user skills in SAP S/4HANA (CO / FI / MM / SD / PP), MS Office and Power BI.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English.
- Analytical ability, leadership and team skills combined with a structured working style, resilience and flexibility.
