About the role
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB)
- Preparation of balance sheet planning
- Conducting detailed cash flow analyses to manage liquidity
- Ensuring data quality and providing decision‑relevant KPIs
- Preparation of comprehensive reports and analyses for management
- Accounting treatment and management of commodity hedging transactions (use of derivative financial instruments)
- Preparation and maintenance of the provisions schedule, including identification and valuation of typical operational risks
- Responsibility for demonstrating gross value added in the context of electricity tax compensation
- Point of contact for external partners such as auditors and tax advisors, and coordination of tax audits
- Management of the interface to external accounting
Requirements
- Degree in business administration with a focus on finance/accounting, or a completed commercial vocational qualification with further training as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or equivalent
- Several years of professional experience in accounting within an industrial/manufacturing company
- Solid knowledge of national and international accounting standards
- IT affinity; confident user of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems, e.g., SAP
- Analytical skills and strong numerical aptitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills and willingness to familiarize yourself with new subject areas
- Good command of German, written and spoken
