About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Respond to breakdown and service requests through the internal ticketing system
  • Carry out installation, maintenance and repair assignments at customer sites
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and basic electronic faults
  • Use telemetry and equipment data to diagnose issues remotely before travelling on-site
  • Repair equipment on-site or replace modules/components using stock carried in the service vehicle
  • Install, configure, calibrate and test new equipment according to technical specifications
  • Deliver short practical training sessions to customers following installations
  • Maintain accurate control of spare parts, tools and replacement modules assigned to the service vehicle
  • Participate in larger customer installations, rollouts and technical projects
  • Complete approximately 3-4 service calls per day, depending on travel distances and complexity
  • Participate in a rotating weekend standby service
  • Attend technical and product training required for the role
  • Work independently while collaborating with colleagues and other departments when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical service or maintenance experience
  • Strong practical background in mechanics and hydraulics
  • Basic working knowledge of electronics
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining technical equipment or machinery
  • Comfortable using laptops/tablets and diagnostic or telemetry software
  • Able to work independently in the field with limited supervision
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • Comfortable explaining technical issues and providing short customer training sessions
  • Vocational or technical education is preferred; practical experience is more important than a university degree
  • Good Dutch and English communication skills
  • Valid driving licence required
  • Willingness to participate in rotating weekend standby duties
  • Must reside in, or be able to cover, the Northeast Netherlands efficiently
  • Ability to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) during the final recruitment stage
