About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency
Both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues
Serving as an expert technical resource and interacting with On-Site Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and third-party vendors
Empowering a culture of safety, security, compliance, and transparency in all aspects of data center activities
Leading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors at a data center site
Financial administration of site activities and tracking budgets, payments, and pay cycles
Managing and overseeing data center site services and resources
Analyzing production operations and initiating corrective actions to ensure operational stability
Operating, monitoring, maintaining, and responding to abnormal conditions in facility systems
Conducting periodic inspections of building systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of 3+ years of directly related experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment and building systems
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment
Good observation skills and problem-solving ability
Successful completion of a background investigation as a condition of employment
