About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Overseeing all facility operations to ensure optimal performance and reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
Serves as the primary technical and operational leader onsite, supporting maintenance, incident response, and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborates with engineering teams, vendors, and leadership while managing daily operations, staffing, and site performance.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of engineering and technical personnel.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
Manage preventive maintenance, corrective work, and emergency response activities.
Conduct inspections of building systems and maintain clean, safe operating conditions.
Manage site budgets, expenses, and financial tracking.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3+ years of experience in data center operations or critical facility environments.
High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, or refrigeration systems (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Strong technical knowledge of data center systems, including: Generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS/STS, PDUs
Chillers, AHUs, CRAC units, cooling systems
Building automation and control systems
Experience with maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and system operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and observational skills.
