About the role

  • Responsible for planning and expanding sales to chain accounts nationwide. Responsible for planning the annual budget and managing it throughout the year to meet revenue goals. Establish and cultivate relationships with key chain executives and owners including attending quarterly meetings and conventions and shows and weekly calls and reports. Monitor and facilitate negotiations of Fantastic Sams distribution contract with BSG. Represent BSG and DBE in presentations and speaking engagements at national chain conventions. Manage and lead territory sales managers. Develop customized sales plans for national accounts. Work with BSG vendors to create unique and customized promotions for chain accounts and to secure vendor funding for chain pricing, educational and promotional activities. Secure national chain distribution rights from BSG vendors in areas outside of BSG territory.
  • Primary Duties
  • 25% Meet quarterly with key chain account executives at their corporate headquarters to plan 3 to 6 months promotional grid, introduce and secure approval for new products and lines, develop marketing and educational plans, and facilitate vendor meetings. Hold scheduled calls and prepare data on service levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • 25% Develop and manage annual sales plan and budget. Analyze sales reports to develop sales and promotional plan monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • 20% Attend vendor meetings and hold quarterly manager and sales team meetings to plan and achieve sales goals. Plan and facilitate bi-monthly webinars with sales team.
  • 15% Participate in chain account shows and conferences as well as BSG company trade shows. Facilitate and attend meetings with key chain executives at BSG shows.
  • 5% Oversee DBE website development and activity including working with Denton IT and Marketing.
  • 10% Work with Merchandising and Marketing to develop promotions, monitor private label inventory and pricing, periodic POP to support chain account sales objectives.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • 5 years in management preferred.
  • 5 years in the beauty products market with proven sales performances.
  • Must have track record in planning, directing and controlling programs and managing proposal activities.
  • Must have the ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision.
  • Must have the ability to establish a solid working relationship with key high level customers and manufacturers.
  • Must have an understating of the salon business.
  • Must be able to effectively direct sales team to achieve company goals.
  • Must be able to understand basic business contracts and financial sheets.
