About the role
- Build and develop the market: You will develop the market-entry strategy for the education sector in the DACH region and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Acquire new customers: You will proactively win new clients in the tertiary education sector—particularly universities, colleges and providers of vocational training.
- Manage end-to-end sales: You will be responsible for the entire sales process from lead generation through product demos to contract signing.
- Build partnerships: You will develop strategic partnerships with EdTech providers, distributors and resellers to expand market reach.
- Leverage your network in the education market: You will establish relationships with key decision-makers across the education ecosystem, including universities, public institutions and industry partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams: You will work closely with product, marketing and customer success teams to feed market feedback into the organization and ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Strengthen brand presence: You will represent the company at industry events, conferences and trade shows and position the solutions within the education market.
Requirements
- EdTech or education market experience: Several years of experience in business development or sales within the EdTech space—ideally in the higher education or broader education market.
- Hunter mentality: You enjoy opening up new markets and acquiring new customers.
- LMS understanding: You are familiar with learning management systems such as Moodle or similar platforms and understand the requirements of modern learning environments.
- Network in the education sector: Ideally you already have contacts at universities, colleges or other educational institutions.
- Negotiation skills: You are confident when engaging with decision-makers and can successfully close complex deals.
- Working style & tools: You work in a structured, self-directed manner and have experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Languages: German at C2 level and very good English skills.
