About the role
- Lead development of high-impact, cross-platform experiences for Slack Platform
- Own in‑Slack experience, developer surfaces and architecture for 3rd-party integrations and apps
- Brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, Backend, and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features
- Produce high-quality results by contributing heavily to team projects that impact the business
- Actively own team features or systems and define their long-term health while improving surrounding systems
- Work cross-team and cross-functionally to arrive at best outcomes for the business
- Assist support and operations teams in triaging and resolving production issues
- Mentor other engineers and perform deep code reviews
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience writing client-side Typescript, Redux and React
- Expertise in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML
- Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
- Experience with modern browser technologies
- Strong UX and design sensibilities
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
- Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve
- A related technical degree required
