About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proven success managing cross-functional, multi-workstream projects to on-time completion
- Plan and manage releases of FINS industry demo org releases, ensuring timely delivery of changes and enhancements
- Coordinate release content and effort based on service requests, third-party applications, and system updates
- Ensure quality control through comprehensive testing and defect resolution processes
- Continuously improve release processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Utilize Salesforce metadata configuration tools to design and deploy custom applications and solutions
- Collaborate with developers to leverage Salesforce metadata configuration for seamless integration and deployment
- Ensure that Salesforce metadata components are aligned with overall release plans, business objectives, and organizational best practices
- Utilize Salesforce OmniStudio tools to design and deploy custom applications and solutions
- Collaborate with developers to leverage OmniStudio's capabilities for seamless integration and deployment
- Ensure that OmniStudio components are aligned with overall release plans, business objectives, and organizational best practices
- Hands-on experience designing, building, or deploying Agentforce agents within Salesforce environments
- Ability to identify opportunities where AI agents can enhance demo narratives, automate workflows, or personalize the SE experience
- Stay current on Agentforce capabilities, prompt engineering best practices, and the evolving landscape of AI tooling within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Own and manage code repositories (GitHub, GitLab, or equivalent) for demo org assets, ensuring clean branching strategies, versioning, and documentation standards
- Champion best practices around pull requests, code reviews, and commit hygiene across the build team
- Partner with CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing of Salesforce metadata, OmniStudio components, and agent configurations
- Ensure repositories are organized and accessible so that SE contributors can find, fork, and build on existing assets with minimal friction
- Lead the creation and curation of open source demo assets, templates, and accelerators that can be shared directly with the broader SE community or external customers
- Define standards for how open source assets are packaged, documented, and versioned for customer-facing distribution
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify which demo components have the highest reuse value and prioritize them for open source publication
- Evaluate AI tooling that can assist in generating documentation, release notes, and onboarding guides for open source assets at scale
- Collaborate with ISS leads, build teams, and other internal support teams to align release strategies with business objectives
- Communicate release plans and changes to stakeholders, facilitating necessary approvals and sign-offs
- Ensure environments are maintained and available for development, testing, and production
- Manage Salesforce build org environments to align with release schedules and business needs
- Identify and manage risks related to Salesforce releases
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure smooth releases
- Maintain detailed release documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices
- Document release procedures, guidelines, and lessons learned
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation creation, keeping pace with rapid release cycles.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S., M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MIS
- Proven experience as a Release Manager with both Salesforce core and OmniStudio experience
- Strong understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle and deployment methodologies
- Experience and willingness to help with build tasks, as needed
- At least one year of hands-on experience with Salesforce OmniStudio tools, including FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures
- Hands-on experience with Git-based code repositories and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with Agentforce or equivalent AI agent platforms, with a curiosity and drive to deepen that expertise
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices is a plus.
