About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own software projects end-to-end
- Architect and build a next-generation internal platform
- Deliver cutting-edge solutions leveraging containerization, virtualization, and AWS services
- Author, extend, and improve Terraform modules
- Design and implement an in-house system to deploy, manage, and scale applications
- Partner directly with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks
- Build strong, trusted relationships with service owners
- Champion a culture of platform efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder)
- Genuine curiosity about how cloud infrastructure works
- Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and improve reliability in high-traffic, production internet applications
- Strong mentoring instinct and commitment to engineering excellence
- Deep, hands-on AWS experience
- Demonstrated experience deploying cloud applications and managing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- A track record of professional software development you're proud of
- 3+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or a closely related discipline
- Strong computer science fundamentals
- Proficiency in one or more functional or imperative programming languages - Python, Go, or PHP preferred
- Extensive, production-grade Terraform experience
- Hands-on experience operating and optimizing large-scale AWS environments
