About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and lead a unified global narrative and integrated marketing strategy that positions Salesforce at the intersection of technology innovation and values, using outcome-centric storytelling tailored to priority internal and external audiences.
- Lead and coach a team of passionate, high-performing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, technical fluency, rapid iteration, and flawless execution.
- Translate complex technical concepts – across AI for impact, sustainability, and education– into compelling narratives that maintain technical integrity and credibility while resonating with broad audiences.
- Partner with corporate marketing, PR, internal communications, and relevant cross-functional leaders to embed Impact values and messaging into the company’s highest-visibility campaigns, channels, and moments, ensuring consistent and strategic positioning.
- Shape Salesforce’s Impact presence at industry and owned events (e.g., Dreamforce, Davos, UNGA, Climate Weeks), including executive positioning, speaking, content and giving back experiences.
- Deepen brand leadership with key stakeholders by identifying and activating on emerging social and environmental narratives and media trends.
- Continue to leverage agents, generative AI, and other cutting edge technologies to augment our human impact storytellers and event planners.
- Establish and operationalize a data-driven framework to measure content and event performance and optimize budget allocation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of leadership experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, preferably within enterprise software and/or emerging technology
- Demonstrated passion for advancing a more sustainable and equal world for all
- Proven track record as a people leader and talent multiplier, with a deep commitment to building inclusive teams and empowering individuals to do their best work
- Exceptional executive presence, with the ability to serve as a strategic advisor to C-suite leaders and engage high-level global stakeholders
- Mastery of storytelling with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling, audience-specific narratives
- Proven ability to weave disparate initiatives into a clear, unified, and high-impact brand story
- Advanced operational leadership, including the ability to manage large-scale projects, drive cross-functional collaboration, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
- Adaptability and professional resilience, with the poise to navigate fast-paced environments, shifting priorities, and significant ambiguity
- Familiarity with agentic AI, including awareness of environmental and social risks, impacts, and opportunities
