Conceptualize and Build: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to brainstorm, conceptualize, and build new, high-impact features for our search and Slackbot experiences.
Integrate Search & Slackbot: Own the frontend integration between search functionality and the Slackbot AI experience, creating a cohesive and intuitive user journey.
Deliver High-Quality Results: Contribute heavily to team projects that have a significant, measurable impact on the business and the user experience.
System Ownership: Actively own frontend systems and components, defining their long-term health and roadmap while improving performance and accessibility.
Operational Excellence: Assist our skilled support and operations teams in triaging and resolving complex production issues.
Mentorship and Standards: Mentor other engineers, provide thoughtful and deep code reviews, and drive improvements in engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the team.

Requirements

10+ years of professional experience building and shipping web applications with a focus on frontend development.
Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Strong understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility (a11y), and responsive design principles.
Experience building search interfaces, autocomplete experiences, or AI-powered UIs is highly desirable.
The ability to significantly contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive critical technical decisions within your team.
A track record of writing understandable, testable code with a strong focus on maintainability.
Solid computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and an understanding of how frontend systems interact with backend APIs.
A related technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is required.
