About the role

  • Support Slack's COO and engineering organizations as the operational engine, scaling engineering operations at Salesforce.
  • Drive day-to-day engineering operations: recurring processes, forums, and operational cadences.
  • Design smarter systems: apply systems thinking to identify inefficiencies and remove blockers.
  • Leverage AI and automation: implement tools and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving across Slack and Salesforce to align stakeholders and untangle complex issues.
  • Drive measurable improvement: set clear metrics for efficiency gains and track progress.
  • Anticipate needs, connect the dots, and enable others to deliver impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Operations, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in operations or a related role within a technical, product / engineering, or high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Systems thinker — able to see the bigger picture while designing processes that work in the real world.
  • Growth mindset — always looking for ways to improve, simplify, and modernize how work gets done.
  • AI fluency — comfortable experimenting with and applying AI tools to real business challenges.
  • Hands-on operator — willing to roll up your sleeves and dive into tough, messy, or ambiguous problems.
  • Cross-functional agility — proven ability to work across teams, functions, and companies (Slack + Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Clear communicator & influencer — able to drive alignment without formal authority.
