Key responsibilities & impact

Build browser-extension capabilities that capture user interactions and context for reliable workflow reproduction
Develop automation for complex applications with dynamic pages, nested frames, custom controls, and asynchronous state changes
Improve agent understanding of page structure, control identification, action execution, and recovery from interface changes
Create debugging and replay tools for diagnosing automation failures
Extend product capabilities for workflow recording, execution monitoring, and result inspection
Observe customer application usage and identify interactions and state changes required for automation
Investigate customer-environment failures across browser behavior, application state, and execution services
Turn application-specific discoveries into reusable recording, targeting, and recovery capabilities
Help customers independently record and troubleshoot workflows
Own architectural decisions for browser recording and execution, including recording fidelity, element targeting, and browser state
Partner with AI engineers to define observations and actions needed for reliable application operation
Mentor peers through design discussions and code reviews
Participate in hiring

Requirements

What you’ll need

Independently owned a significant web capability or system through design, deployment, production failures, and subsequent improvements
Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills
Deep understanding of the DOM, browser events, network behavior, and asynchronous execution
Experience building browser automation with Playwright or comparable tools
Ability to trace difficult failures across browser behavior, frontend state, and backend services
Ability to design tests that distinguish reliable behavior from something that happened to work once
Willingness to work directly with customers, investigate unfamiliar applications, and turn findings into product improvements
Thoughtful use of AI development tools
Responsibility for correctness, security, and maintainability of shipped work
Helpful experience with browser extensions, accessibility trees, resilient element targeting, recording and replay systems, LLM-powered applications, computer-use agents, early-stage products, or customer-facing engineering
