About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigating incidents escalated by the Triage & Monitoring team.
- Assisting in-depth investigations of cybersecurity alerts raised by various security tools.
- Coordinating incident response, escalation, and reporting of cybersecurity incidents.
- Performing technical investigation on complex security incidents to mitigate threats.
- Collaborating on departmental projects to improve cybersecurity posture.
- Looking for opportunities to improve documentation and CSIRT processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of operational security experience (SOC, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience and relevant certification (such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, etc.)
- Experience working independently to detect, handle, investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Ability to communicate/coordinate a course of action to respond to security incidents.
- Practical experience identifying adversary techniques and procedures with enterprise security tools.
- Experience developing and maintaining operations playbooks, runbooks, and operational documentation.
- Robust understanding of IT fundamentals.
