About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Strategic and operational overall responsibility for the rail and cable civil engineering business unit in the role of COO
Lead and develop the technical and operations team
Manage and optimize construction workflows and processes
Responsible for cost, quality and schedule of all rail and cable civil engineering projects
Support in acquiring new projects and preparing bids and proposals
Close collaboration with executive management and other company departments
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, technical and safety regulations
Represent the company vis-à-vis clients, authorities and partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a similar field, ideally with a specialization in track engineering
Several years of experience in a technical leadership position in railway/track construction
Solid knowledge of construction contract law (VOB), Deutsche Bahn procedural specifications, project management and work planning
Entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership and communication skills, and very good German and English language skills
High level of initiative, resilience and decisiveness
Willingness to travel within Germany
