About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interacts with owners, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.
Keeps Project Managers and Engineers informed on progress of project.
Perform onsite observation of construction progress.
Develop periodic reports related to construction progress and project site conditions.
Assist project engineers with problem solving construction issues.
Utilize basic calculations in resolving construction related issues.
Review submittals and shop drawings, process Requests for Information, review Change Orders, and collect/approve Contract Close-out documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Construction administration experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
Experience in the construction of building projects of all types, including interpretation of contract documents, drawings and specifications, and working knowledge of building codes.
3+ years of experience in construction with working knowledge of MEP/FP systems.
Familiar with life safety and building codes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge with computers, computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with construction management software.
Working knowledge and understanding of building control systems a plus.
Minimum of high school or GED diploma. An engineering degree is not necessary, but a technical or construction-related education would be recommended. However, construction experience would be considered in lieu of education.
