About the role

  • Investigate and evaluate the root cause and extent of failures and damage to HVAC and MEP systems
  • Assess building management systems (BMS) and building automation systems (BAS)
  • Address various mechanical failures in residential, commercial and industrial settings
  • Work independently and with a cross-functional team of experts

Requirements

  • Licensed P.E. in your state of residence
  • Additional active licensures in surrounding states desirable
  • 5-10 years of experience designing/working with mechanical equipment and systems in various settings including HVAC and MEP systems required
  • At least 5 years of forensic engineering experience preferred
  • Must be willing and able to perform physical job requirements including working in confined spaces and roofs
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally
  • Strong technical writing skills and effective communication in face-to-face interactions
  • Technical proficiency with computers and industry-related software applications required
  • Expert witness experience expected
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or restrictions
