About the role

  • Conduct research on various legal issues, including regulatory matters, case law, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Help coordinate professional licensing and registration applications for engineering and architectural practices.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, memoranda, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior legal staff.
  • Assist with M&A due diligence, including data room review and summarizing findings under the supervision of legal staff.
  • Help ensure the company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations by assisting in the review and update of internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining litigation case files and other corporate legal documents and records.
  • Participate in meetings with clients or other departments to understand legal needs and provide support.
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.
  • Contribute to special projects and other tasks as assigned by the legal team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program or recent graduate from an accredited law school.
  • Strong interest in corporate law, contract law, intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, or other relevant legal areas.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
