About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The E-commerce Category Specialist is responsible for driving the online performance and growth of assigned product categories.
  • This role involves optimizing the online customer experience, managing product presentation and information, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets and enhance profitability within the e-commerce channel.
  • Partner with the manager to implement comprehensive e-commerce category strategies aligned with overall business objectives and online sales targets.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and buying teams to influence product assortment and productivity.
  • Ensure merchandising is aligned with best practices and executed in a timely manner to ensure an intuitive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Maintain effective product categorization, filtering, and navigation to enhance user experience.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key category and brand performance metrics (e.g., sales, conversion rates, average order value, traffic, bounce rates).
  • Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the digital experience teams to implement website enhancements and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in category management, preferably within an ecommerce environment.
  • Experience in retail buying, merchandising, or digital marketing can also be valuable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, functionalities, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
