About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell SailPoint’s Identity Security Solution
- Exceed quarterly and yearly revenue quota goals
- Address customer and partner inquiries with accurate, tailored solutions
- Develop business plans aligned with the assigned territory
- Engage customers and business partners to maintain high customer service
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute partner and end-user marketing plans
- Pursue supplied leads and update internal systems
- Lead technical resources in demonstrating SailPoint’s advantages
- Follow up with customers and partner with the post-sale team for ongoing account coverage and new sales opportunities
- Own the full sales cycle, including qualification, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing
- Build deep knowledge of the territory, customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors
- Communicate competitive product and technology strategies
- Manage discussions with business stakeholders and technical decision-makers
- Use channel management and reporting tools, including accurate forecasting and Salesforce hygiene
- Establish customer account, partner, marketing, channel, territory, and opportunity plans through six-month milestones
- Build pipeline of 2 to 3 times target and refine go-to-market strategy for the market segment
- Lead an operating cadence with a virtual team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Skilled communicator in first engagements and discovery calls
- Ability to analyze prospect needs and qualify opportunities
- Proficiency presenting SailPoint solutions and positioning them against Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt
- Ability to deliver a superior customer experience
- Ability to lead virtual teams of partner resources, presales, partner managers, deal desk, professional services, BVA, and customer success
- Team-based selling approach
- Ability to act as the sales “quarterback,” prepare contributors, and ensure accountability
- Ability to create territory and opportunity plans
- Ability to work with leadership to refine sales strategy
- Ability to exceed revenue quotas
- Ability to develop territory-aligned business plans
- Ability to collaborate with marketing and channel teams
- Ability to lead technical demonstrations
- Ability to manage qualification, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing
- Understanding of customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors in the territory
- Knowledge of competitive product and technology strategies
- Ability to engage business stakeholders and technical decision-makers
- Salesforce and Clari proficiency/hygiene, accurate forecasting, and channel management/reporting tools
- Approximately 50% business travel yearly
- Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in an IT, business, or sales-related field preferred but not required
- Achieve the “1st Mate” enablement badge and complete the Captains badge on Highspot
