About the role

  • Oversee the planning, procurement and delivery of temporary event infrastructure across the Americas region
  • Work closely with Infrastructure Lead and cross-functional teams to design, build and execute large-scale event structures
  • Collaborate with the Americas working group on all build aspects and overall onsite operations
  • Establish and enforce highest quality standards with vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate and support regional procurement processes for temporary event infrastructure
  • Collate comprehensive technical drawings, specifications and documentation for all temporary structures
  • Ensure structure designs meet safety regulations, building codes, and accessibility requirements
  • Manage integrated build schedules and critical path planning for venue preparations
  • Communicate build schedules and readiness to stakeholders
  • Maintain relationships with operations team and wider business functions to address operational concerns
  • Develop and manage budgets for temporary infrastructure across events in region
  • Oversee construction and installation of all temporary event infrastructure and compliance with site safety standards
  • Oversee structural engineering assessments where required and forecast future infrastructure requirements and costs
  • Maintain documentation for insurance and compliance purposes

Requirements

  • Significant qualifications in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field
  • Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects in multiple locations
  • Experience with premium or VIP environments in event settings
  • Strong technical knowledge of temporary structures, facilities, and site services
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with CAD software and technical drawing
  • Understanding of building codes and safety regulations across different regions
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across cultural and geographic boundaries
  • International travel required
  • Hybrid working model with minimum of 3 days per week in New York office preferred
  • Season-long contractor position initially
