About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serves as the primary human resources contact for employees in one or more regional areas.
- Collaborates with management to formulate and execute human resources strategies in support of business objectives.
- Manages the execution and delivery of human resources programs and policies, including staffing, benefits, employee relations, training, and safety programs.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Provides guidance and coaching to leadership on the performance management process.
- Works with field and corporate teams to unify human resources practices across the organization.
- Ensures locations are compliant with labor laws and regulatory compliance.
- Assists in the design and implementation of employee retention strategies.
- Coordinates quarterly visits to regional facilities and conducts employee meetings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive human resources management or generalist experience.
- Federal, state, and local employment law knowledge.
- Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time.
- Must have extensive knowledge of California employment laws
