About the role
- Deliver Prevention services in accordance with Provincial and community standards;
- Works within a Strength based, Trauma informed approach
- Able to mediate and deescalate conflict within a family centered solution focused approach
- Intensively manages assigned files ensuring all cases are managed in accordance with the Provincial and agency standards, including Sagkeeng’s customs and traditions,
- Completing progress reports, case plans and assessments
- Program Development and delivery
- Ability to input information on to the CFSIS database
Requirements
- BSW degree or other Post-secondary degree or Diploma in related field from an accredited University/College;
- Minimum 2 years experience in Child and Family Services preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, written and organizational skills
- Excellent facilitation skills and strong knowledge of Child and family Services
- Strong analytical, referral, assessment, problem solving and treatment planning skills;
- CFSIS experience
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team;
- Valid class five driver’s license and a reliable vehicle;
- Knowledge of the culture, community, and community resources.
- The ability to speak and/or understand the Ojibway language is considered an asset.
