About the role

Assist Outlet Manager in all phases of restaurant operations
Responsible for complete restaurant operation in absence of manager
Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant associates and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs
Inspect staff for correct, clean, complete uniform, polished shoes, name tag and general appearance standards
Supervise service of guests and watch for signals from guests in need of service
Assist manager to establish and monitor side-work duty completion
Maintain bank to SOP; keep it balanced and secure at all times
Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift
Check for personnel call offs and verify floor plan coverage
Check restaurant cleanliness, setup, service stands, aisle areas, and tables for proper setup
Communicate daily with restaurant manager regarding special events, house counts, etc.
Assist restaurant managers in conducting menu classes and taste panels

High school education or equivalent
1 to 2 full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s)
Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession, including food and beverage management
Management experience overseeing people and resolving complex problems
Excellent oral communication skills for interacting with guests and associates
Excellent comprehension and ability to interpret instructions from superiors
Excellent vision for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, and schedules
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry 20-40 lbs regularly
Ability to bend and climb stairs as needed
Mobility to cover all areas of outlets (95% of shift) and continuous/minimal stationary standing
No driving required
