Greet guests and begin appointments on time; complete treatments within allotted time
Provide professional massage and body treatments per spa protocols and accepted certification practices
Inform and educate guests about specific wellness concerns and spa services
Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously
Properly care for equipment and use appropriate product amounts for cost control
Maintain complete knowledge of all services and products offered
Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and spa policies
Actively promote home care programs, spa treatments, services, retail, programs, promotions, and discounts
Perform prep work and properly clean and restock treatment rooms
Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests requiring attention
Regularly attend and participate in training and staff meetings
Requirements
Must hold and maintain a current state massage therapist license with a minimum of 500 hours of training
Must maintain required insurance
High School diploma or equivalent and required technical certificates
1 year experience preferred
Thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities and general understanding of body treatments; willingness to train in spa-specific offerings
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate guests about wellness concerns
Ability to meet minimum retail sales goals (3%) and participate in coaching if goals not met
Ability to follow sanitation and sterilization laws and spa policies
Ability to perform physical demands: full mobility for massage shifts, lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying, bending/kneeling, continuous standing, climb up to ~40 steps occasionally
Ability to read written communication and follow verbal/written instructions
Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and stressful situations
