About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and train deep learning models, working across all stages of the algorithm development lifecycle — from writing annotation guidelines to packaging and deploying detectors, including training, optimization, and designing evaluation protocols.
  • Contribute to defining the technical vision and experimental plans to improve detectors.
  • Design and develop MLOps tools to increase the team’s productivity across the different stages of algorithm production. In particular, you will help address the challenges of working in a classified/air-gapped environment.
  • Monitor the state of the art on topics relevant to the project.
  • You may be asked to lead a squad of 3–4 deep learning scientists, facilitating rituals (weekly meeting, sprint planning), assigning tasks within the squad, and participating in the preparation of upcoming development cycles with the Technical Project Manager.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • More than 3 years of experience in deep learning applied to computer vision (ideally on video data): familiarity with frameworks and mastery of the state of the art.
  • Production AI experience requiring strong Python skills and solid software engineering practices (automation culture, architecture/design, quality/testing/CI/CD).
  • Good understanding of databases as well as orchestration and containerization technologies.
  • Experience in an air-gapped environment is a plus.
  • Rigour and pragmatism consistent with an experimental scientific approach in data science.
  • A user-centric mindset, prioritizing user needs.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, without applying it dogmatically.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects/topics in parallel and to organize your own activities and those of a squad to meet project milestones.
  • Open-minded, strong communication skills, and able to work effectively in a team.

Benefits

Comp & perks
