About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the reliability and autonomy of the Finance run (day-to-day finance operations)
  • Oversee monthly accounting close and the production of group reporting (Safran) on time and with the required quality, without systematic escalation to the VP Finance
  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle, quarterly reforecasts and cash flow projections, coordinating with the VP Finance on strategic assumptions
  • Build and update the 5-year Business Plan together with the VP Finance
  • Stabilize and optimize Procurement processes (Payflows) — structured purchasing actions, controlled CAPEX commitments, and a reliable P2P process
  • Supervise the migration of the accounting system and ensure compliance with electronic invoicing requirements, in coordination with the external firm engaged
  • Prepare and co-host the monthly Finance Review: variance analysis, interpretation of the numbers, and operational recommendations
  • Be able to develop ad-hoc analyses to illuminate identified issues: when a variance, trend or anomaly is observed, produce the analysis that explains it, quantify the impact and propose an interpretation for management
  • Serve as the Finance interface with other functions: Business Analysis on the consistency of project-level P&Ls and Scale & Transformation on international expansion and data governance topics
  • Occasionally contribute to external growth operations (M&A): financial modeling, preparing data for due diligence, coordinating with external advisors, supporting the VP Finance
  • Map existing financial controls and identify blind spots (commitment limits, reconciliations, inter-departmental flows, etc.), then propose and deploy corrective measures
  • Lead continuous improvement of automations and models in Pigment — in coordination with the Pigment Modeller and the Process & Transformation Manager as relevant: represent Finance needs and validate deliverables without necessarily being the technical operator of the tool
  • Raise the quality of forecast and Business Plan models: document assumptions, create reusable models that can be reviewed and challenged by management
  • Improve the quality of analyses produced: shift from descriptive reporting to decision-focused insights — interpret, flag, and recommend
  • Contribute to adherence to and improvement of Safran group standards: consolidated reporting, transfer pricing, CIR compliance (R&D tax credit) — liaising with corporate functions (SED, Safran SA)
  • Provide operational and HR management of the Finance team across Accounting, Procurement and Performance & Steering — scope and sequencing to be calibrated according to the hired profile
  • Set individual objectives, conduct performance reviews, develop skills and support career paths, in coordination with the VP Finance
  • Establish a culture of rigor and reliability: every link in the Finance chain delivers on time and autonomously
  • Identify organizational weaknesses and propose solutions: hiring, upskilling, reorganization if necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8 to 10 years of corporate finance experience, ideally with exposure to multiple finance functions (accounting, management control, FP&A)
  • Proven managerial experience: you have led a multidisciplinary team, managed complex individual situations, and conducted performance reviews
  • Experience in a scale-up or high-growth company: comfortable where processes need to be built as much as they are applied
  • Exposure to group or multi-entity environments is an asset: familiar with consolidated reporting and parent/subsidiary relationships
  • Transaction Services experience strongly appreciated: able to produce high-standard financial models, rapidly structure complex financial analyses and present them clearly to a demanding audience
