About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the daily operations of the bar, small plates and dining room
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the food and beverage outlets staff
  • Deal with guest queries, advising on menus and beverage selections
  • Maintain staffing needs, prepare schedules
  • Ensure high quality of food preparation and service
  • Manage inventory and adhere to company standards
  • Ensure proper completion of financial and HR administrative duties
  • Maintain professional restaurant image and cleanliness
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment
  • Provide guidance to guests regarding dining options
  • Oversee Club Supervisors and Staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree is preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience in a fine dining restaurant
  • Proficient in food planning and preparation, inventory management, sanitation, service standards, staffing and employee management, payroll and financial reporting
  • Ability to read, speak and write English language; additional language skills would be a distinct advantage
  • Genuine interest and understanding in food and drink; wine and cocktail knowledge is essential
  • Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
