About the role
- Support the development and execution of public relations strategies that promote venue programming, increase event attendance, and enhance public perception.
- Serve as a day-to-day PR partner for venue management teams, offering guidance on media relations, messaging, issues management, and community engagement.
- Manage PR campaigns for events, concerts, and community initiatives in collaboration with marketing and social media teams.
- Draft press releases, media materials, talking points, leadership messaging, and other communications content.
- Conduct media outreach, maintain relationships with key reporters, and facilitate interview opportunities.
- Monitor media coverage and assist in analyzing results to produce reports on PR performance and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of communications experience, with a focus on media relations.
- Experience in sports, live entertainment, or venue-based events preferred.
- In-house and Agency experience is a plus.
- Strong strategic and creative thinking skills, with experience supporting complex organizations or multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and maintaining media relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with PR measurement tools, media monitoring platforms, and social media.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
