About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Planning and commissioning of IT infrastructures
Administration and monitoring of Windows Servers, virtual machines, and AI systems
Expansion and planning of network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN)
Maintenance, protection, and recovery of data using backup servers and tape libraries
Maintenance, installation, and updating of hardware and software
Support through documentation as well as 1st- and 2nd-level support
Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and handling service requests related to IT hardware, AI systems, and device technology

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker (IT specialist) or an equivalent qualification
Whether you are a career starter or already have several years of professional experience does not matter
Knowledge of administering Windows and Linux servers as well as network technologies
Experience with virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox)
Experience with backup software (e.g. Veeam, Acronis)
Ideally, initial experience with AI systems (on-premises and cloud-based)
Reliable, meticulous working style as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn new topics and to work independently
Willingness to travel across Germany and possession of a Class B driving license
