About the role
- Support pricing and rating analyses for insurance products, including new product development and rate revisions
- Analyze loss experience, trends, and profitability by product, coverage, and segment
- Assist in the development and maintenance of pricing models, assumptions, and methodologies
- Evaluate underwriting guidelines and risk selection strategies using actuarial and statistical techniques
- Monitor product performance and identify emerging risks or opportunities
- Prepare exhibits, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and product teams to support strategic initiatives
- Support regulatory filings and documentation related to rates and product changes, as applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field
- 1–3 years of actuarial or analytical experience in insurance (entry-level candidates with strong internships considered)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- One to three actuarial exams passed, including at least one CAS exam (preferably Exam P or Exam FM)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining analytical models, tools, and pricing templates
- Ability to communicate actuarial analyses clearly in written and verbal formats
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
