About the role

Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for services and APIs
Define and implement testing strategies for distributed, event-driven systems
Ensure high quality across services by covering functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
Validate event flows, data consistency, and system behaviour under failure scenarios
Work closely with engineers to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases
Improve observability and monitoring to proactively find issues in production
Advocate for best practices in testing, quality, and reliability across teams
Help mentor others and raise the bar for quality engineering

Experience in QA / SDET roles testing full stack applications
Strong experience with test automation (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or similar)
Experience testing distributed or event-driven systems
Solid understanding of testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E, contract testing)
Familiarity with AWS environments and serverless architectures
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in deployment workflows
Comfortable working with APIs, JSON, and data validation
Strong debugging skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have: Experience with performance or load testing tools
Experience testing data pipelines or analytics platforms
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform, or similar)
Experience with contract testing (e.g. Pact)
Exposure to frontend testing (React / Next.js)
Experience in multi-tenant SaaS platforms
