About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently manage accounting for all entities using DATEV Kanzlei‑Rechnungswesen and ensuring compliance
Monitor all accounting processes and implement controls when business processes change
Post complex business transactions
Perform reviews in preparation for the annual financial statements
Contribute to the implementation of complex accounting and balance sheet topics
Responsible for consolidated VAT advance returns and recapitulative statements (ZM)
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and assist in preparing annual financial statements (HGB)
Analyze cost and performance structures and identify financial interdependencies
Own process and interface responsibilities with adjacent departments (Controlling, fleet management, operations managers)
Participate in digitalization projects and optimize accounting workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte), financial accountant, or comparable qualification with solid professional experience in accounting
Very good knowledge of DATEV (desirable: DATEV Unternehmen online, CANDIS)
Strong understanding of business and economic relationships; ideally experience in the transportation or logistics industry
Analytical mindset, strong numerical aptitude and ability to understand complex structures
Independent, structured way of working with a drive to question and improve processes
Team player with strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility
