About the role
- Monitor the front desk, lobby, entrance area and conducts check in procedures.
- Greet everyone entering or calling the school in a professional and courteous manner.
- Handles requests/transactions by assessing needs or directs the person or matter to the proper sources.
- Assists in resolving problems and ensuring satisfactory customer service.
- Responsible for the majority of incoming/outgoing phone calls.
- Uses effective telephone techniques at all times.
- Route and dispositions all voicemails and messages effectively using the company directory as they come in or with in 1-2 hours.
- Collect all new start acknowledgement forms and admissions interview guide and scan into the electronic file for each student.
- Update student record with directory information accurately.
- Administer the entrance assessment following SAE Policies and Procedures.
- Assist with the coordination Graduation ceremonies, orientation, open house and other on campus activities as requested by Campus Director.
- Operates office equipment such as printers, copy machines, fax machines and serves as liaison with service and vendor personnel.
- Coordinate office supply ordering, with approval of Campus Director.
- Keep front desk, lobby and break room/kitchen areas neat, tidy and welcoming.
- Receives mail or correspondence for the campus.
- Opens or reviews correspondence and determines proper disposition.
- Assist with all or any administrative duties set forth by the Campus Director.
- Comply with all SAE Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office and Internet search.
- Proficiency in Mac Computer and PC
- Good organizational skills.
- Willing to represent the school honestly and ethically and in a professional manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally (in one-on-one and group settings) and in writing.
- Prefer knowledge of academic student record keeping in a setting of higher education.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, and students, and community members and to effectively deal with potential public relations problems courteously and tactfully.
- Ability to work with diverse constituencies, individually and as a group.
- Willingness to work on a flexible schedule as required (includes evenings and weekends).
