About the role

  • Ensure all studio, IT and facilities needs of the faculty, staff, and students are met.
  • Address and work to resolve all studio, facilities, and IT issues as they arise.
  • Provide support, guidance, and leadership for all studio technical staff while maintaining a positive workforce attitude.
  • Ensure proper working order of equipment and computers in labs, studios, and classrooms.
  • Oversee all studio policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage studio technician staff schedule.
  • Oversight of repairs and installations as required.
  • Manage all studios, hardware, equipment, cabling and interfacing.
  • Manage all studio and classroom computers, software, and software authorizations/accounts.
  • Administer, in coordination with national IT director, all institutional staff computers and software, as well as student and administrative servers, local networks, and internet security system.
  • Administration of student internet booking system, and management of all studio booking and scheduling for classes, student use, test administration, maintenance, seminars, and special events.
  • Ensure all record-keeping related to studios and facilities is done in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all studio equipment on campus.
  • Train instructors and studio technicians on proper use of equipment.
  • Manage asset inventory.
  • Assist with student materials distribution as needed.
  • Perform other relevant duties as necessary.
  • Responsible for proper daily open/close of facilities.
  • Responsible for carrying out campus Emergency Response and Evacuation procedures in compliance with the Campus Security and Crime Prevention Policy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant experience working with various equipment and consoles in creative media field.
  • 3+ years relevant supervisory/management experience desired.
  • Industry certification preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Possess an appropriate qualification level in a related field.
  • Knowledge of and industry experience in a related discipline area.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of the required hardware and software.
  • Familiar with using the Internet and email.
  • Demonstrated client service orientation.
  • Ability to work in and foster a harmonious working environment.
  • Willingness to pursue professional development opportunities.
Benefits

  • This position may require some additional evenings or weekends.
  • Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6pm.
