About the role

  • Monitor the front desk, lobby, entrance area and conducts check in procedures.
  • Greet everyone entering or calling the school in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Handle requests/transactions by assessing needs or directs the person or matter to the proper sources.
  • Assist in resolving problems and ensuring satisfactory customer service.
  • Responsible for the majority of incoming/outgoing phone calls.
  • Use effective telephone techniques at all times.
  • Route and disposition all voicemails and messages effectively using the company directory within 1-2 hours.
  • Collect all new start acknowledgement forms and admissions interview guide and scan into the electronic file for each student.
  • Update student record with directory information accurately.
  • Administer the entrance assessment following SAE Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination of Graduation ceremonies, orientation, open house and other on-campus activities as requested by Campus Director.
  • Operate office equipment such as printers, copy machines, fax machines.
  • Serve as liaison with service and vendor personnel.
  • Coordinate office supply ordering, with approval of Campus Director.
  • Keep front desk, lobby and break room/kitchen areas neat, tidy and welcoming.
  • Receive mail or correspondence for the campus.
  • Open or review correspondence and determines proper disposition.
  • Assist with all or any administrative duties set forth by the Campus Director.
  • Comply with all SAE Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Internet search.
  • Proficiency in Mac Computer and PC.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.
  • Prefer knowledge of academic student record keeping in a setting of higher education.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and community members.
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies, individually and as a group.
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule as required (includes evenings and weekends).
